Doodhi / Lauki



Dammit i love doodhi. Stop it, any of you who hate it— you don't deserve any cookies from me. It's so yum and easy to make, simple and fulfilling at the same time, like a sweet breeze in your hair.




  • 1 Lauki that is diligently pealed and cut

  • 1 spoon Cumin seeds

  • 1 Tomato, optional




  • 1 spoon of oil must be added inside a pressure cooker.

  • Cumin seeds should be dropped into that oil and one must wait till they crack up.

  • Add water. 2 cups or enough to cover it double times.

  • 1 pinch of Salt, of course.

  • Pressure cook for 2 whistles

Done! Serve hot with love.
